What is floating your RPG boat at the moment?

What's big in your roleplay scene? What free or paid loveliness are you getting up to? It's been a while so feel free to splurge with links that look like advertising!

Me? I'm playing more regularly with Roll20 than ever before. Bar Christmas and me having the flu, we've managed to get together most weeks. I'm also playing with people I've known for years but never played with and reconnected with old players too. It's wonderful! I do prefer face-to-face but there is nowhere to host just now and my players find it difficult to travel after work during the week. I finished up a cracking campaign on it and started a new one, which is ripping off the Star Trek vibe - except everyone is a graduate student.

I'm 99.99999997% the way to finishing the Icar fleet setting. It's been going for ages but I'm nearly there! YAY! Just need to arrange the marketing stuff before I upload and I'm ready. You can see how busy I've been on the Icar , without which I would never had got the thing done. Once that monolith of 41 pages is off the decks, I can then take a deep breath and work out what's next! Now I am playing online, I kind of want an online character sheet, which will need some very specific requirements because one of my players is blind.

RIGHT! Your turn!

I can POST!!!!

RPG's . . . being filled by some Destiny, some Fallout4 but mostly Ark Survival Evolved with the wife.

Looking, trying to get motivated to start working on design again, just having one of those times.

Even though I may not be "creating" I is still here . . . I am the shadow you thought you saw . . . I am the abuse engine of Red dwarfisms . . . I am J.K and I am never truly gone . . . unless out Benefactor turns off his glorious internet . . . then I might be.

Great to have you back onboard, J.K. I've tried a little of Fallout 4 but not had the time to sink my teeth into it. Do you rate it?

I've been doing alternating playtests of Street Rats (which has a —I think Rob inspired that) as well as playing in Deathwatch. I've got a number of online games that don't ever really seem to materialize, but it's been fun.

Fallout 4 was good, but I'm waiting for mods (I'm the sort of guy who likes having fifty different guns in a game), so the main thing that I've done has been Dungeons & Dragons Online, which may be one of the few games that I've played for something like seven years in a row without skipping a year.

It's a good game . . . the weapon modding is nice, leveling is kinda slow for my taste, but it makes sense.
The settlement building portion is kinda off (things don't snap the way you feel they should) but all in all a good game.
I'd say a 8 out of 10. I keep getting caught up in picking up junk for scrap materials and
encumber myself way too much. :)

But all in all I play way more Ark (xbox one version). Hunting & Taming dinos with base building and material gathering . . . :)

I can't get the new Fallout to run, but I'm watching a "let's play" series on youtube, and it looks quite awesome!

I am replaying Fallout 2 just for fun, though... With the Fallout 2 Restoration Project mod: it fixes most of the problems and bugs, and adds in some of the content the developers intended to include, but couldn't for some reason or another.

By the way, I guess the Fallout 2 PnP was one of the first free RPGs I played! It was released sometime in the early 2000s, and was basically a summary of all the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. rules. It had lots of numbers (well, it was all taken from the computer game), percentages and the rest, but we did play quite a few sessions with my friends, because we were all Fallout 2 fanboys.

I've had almost no oppertunities for gaming in the past 12 months. I'm enjoying the new 5th edition. I've played one session but I love reading the books. I'm reading through some of my older material just because I like to read rpg books. L5R is a good read too.

I have ideas floating around my head about translating my new found naval experiences into a space based rpg. A warship or auxiliary support vessel in space to try and translate what my job is like to my mates. Obviously got to add in drama, excitment and stuff but its an area i think would be fun. Hard military sci-fi style, ala John Scalzi meets Jack Campbell but vague ideas and non-written words are easy to throw around.
